Hampshire County 4-H Shooting Sports FALL Archery Session is Now OPEN!!

If your child is interested in joining the fall archery session, make sure to register for the "Fall 4-H Archery Season" event on ZSuite.

The West Virginia 4-H Shooting Sports program is dedicated to the positive personal development of all youth and adult participants. In support of our national 4-H mission, the West Virginia 4-H Shooting Sports program strives to enable youth, their parents, and adult volunteers to become responsible, self-directed, and productive members of society. Shooting Sports provides the high-quality program necessary for Positive Youth Development by engaging youth in the safe, responsible use of fi****ms and archery equipment in various settings through comprehensive education, life-long recreation, and healthy competition.

Sessions will take place at the Hampshire County Fairgrounds. Sessions will be weekly on Tuesday evenings. Planned dates: October 13th, October 19th (Monday), October 27th, November 3rd, November 10th and November 17h.

Planned schedule: Session 1 from 5:30pm-6:45pm for Genesis and Beginner shooters and Session 2 from 7pm-8:15pm for Compound and Advanced shooters.

Enrollment is limited, so enroll today! Be sure to follow our Hampshire County 4-H Shooting Sports page to keep up with important 4-H Shooting Sports announcements.

Note: Parents/Guardians must be present with the 4-H member on the grounds; volunteers will not assume care and custody of members during sessions.

4-H is open to all youth between the ages of 5 to 21. Youth aged 8 (as of 6/30/26) to 21 (as of 9/30/27) can join as a 4-H member!

Youth aged 5 to 7 (as of 6/30/26), who are interested in the practices of 4-H can start in the Cloverbud program, which focuses more on fun and social activities that set the stage for future learning! 🧠

WVU AG&NR Extension Agent, Maryanna Milleson recently participated in a great day of learning at the annual West Virginia Envirothon Teacher and Student training. She participated alongside representatives from Hampshire High School.
