Kappa Chapter would like to congratulate our gorgeous sister, Abigail “IZZY” Brown for graduating law school with her J.D. in Law 🙌🏼 She is the Anchor of 3 NASEEB ⚓️ and joined Spring of 2020. Read down below to learn about Abigail’s time at Nothern Illinois University as a law student 🎓.

👩🏻‍🎓 Post-grad plans: After sitting and passing the IL Bar Exam, I will be working for the Cook County State’s Attorney Office.

⚖️ What was your favorite memory from law school?: My favorite memory would be making friendships and having late night study sessions together. Also Law School Prom!

👏🏼 Accomplishments: I was President of the Latinx Law Student Association and Public Interest Law Society. I was also awarded the Thurgood Marshall Award which is presented to a graduating student who exemplifies Justice Marshall’s deep commitment to equal justice under law.

📣 Any special shoutout(s): I would like to shoutout all my friends, family, and partner who’ve supported me on this journey. As well as, shout out to all my fellow Latinas that want to go into law! It’s never too late and I am always available to chat!

👩🏻‍🎓Post-Grad plans: Continue working as a Teacher Assistant, transition into a job within the psychology field this fall, and prepare for graduate school next year.
