Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) DAWG is a 501 C3 non-profit no kill animal sanctuary taking in animals in need. All Gods creatures welcome on our beautiful farm

DAWG is a non profit No KILL animal sanctuary helping homeless, abandoned, injured and neglected animals of all species . Our 25 acre farm is equipped with an animal protection shelter,heated barn, pond and creek. in addition, we have many wildlife enclosures which provide an ideal habitat for many species. We are regulated by MDARD, USDA, USFW and DNR. Education and enrichment are paramount.

This juvenile Red Tail Hawk was found next to his deceased sibling in a yard last night. He has a broken humerus and will need surgery. He is very thin and moderately dehydrated. We are hopeful he can make a full recovery with our amazing vet.

Kiwi came to us Aug 2022 when she was left in a Rubbermaid container in an apartment for over a week when her owner moved out. Once she was healthy we worked on trying to find her placement or a forever home. Finally…. 4 years later she found her forever family. They are very experienced in iguanas, have a great set up and veterinarian and she will be loved and cared for properly.

We will miss you beautiful girl. It was our privilege to care for you.
