Everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and supporting that need starts right here in our own community. From families working to make ends meet to neighbors facing unexpected challenges, food insecurity can affect anyone.

Together, we can help ensure our neighbors across Floyd, Polk, and Chattooga counties know where to turn for support.

The recent storm may not have been as severe as expected, and we’re grateful for that. But it’s always a good time to make sure our community knows where to turn when severe weather impacts our area.

From finding food and shelter to getting help with utility assistance and other essential needs, 211 is here to connect our neighbors with local resources and support.

Did you know United Way FPC offers Community Mediation?

What is mediation?
Mediation partners people with the help of a neutral, trained mediator to help navigate through disagreements involving family, neighbors, workplaces and other community situations.

The goal is simple: help people communicate, find common ground and work toward a solution—outside of the courtroom.

Sometimes, a challenge outside of work can make it difficult to stay on the job. Our Advocates work one-on-one with employees to help navigate barriers like housing, transportation and unexpected expenses—and create a plan for greater stability.
