A new chapter for Delta Lake has begun!

Following a thoughtful and intentional process, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Brian Powell will serve as the next Executive Director of Delta Lake, effective May 17, 2026.

Brian has been serving as Director of Operations, where he has overseen critical aspects of camp life, including guest group coordination, staff leadership across multiple departments, and the implementation of systems to support smooth and effective operations. His leadership has already contributed to strengthening both the guest experience and internal organization.

Brian brings:
* A strong commitment to Gospel-centered ministry
* Demonstrated leadership in camp and retreat programming
* Experience in staff development and team building
* A steady, relational approach to serving guests and stakeholders

In the coming weeks and months, Brian will be engaging with many of you directly - listening, learning, and continuing to build relationships as he steps into this role. We are confident that his leadership, combined with the strength of our staff and community, will position Delta Lake well for the future.

We invite you to welcome and congratulate Brian on his new role, as well as join us in thanking Rev. Stephen Clark for his faithful service as Executive Director over the past three and a half years. We are deeply thankful for his contributions and dedication to Delta Lake.

🏣The Main Lodge is one of the most-loved places to stay at Delta Lake - accommodating retreat guests, families, and groups all year long.

Step inside to find a spacious lobby centered around a beautiful stone fireplace, comfortable seating areas for conversation and fellowship, and a kitchenette just off the main space. Guest rooms wrap around the building in a horseshoe layout on both floors, creating a cozy community feel while still giving families and groups their own private space.

Large communal bathrooms with showers are located on each floor for both men and women.

🙏Today at Delta Lake Bible Conference Center, over 55 people from across our community gathered for the National Day of Prayer - sharing breakfast, worshipping together, hearing powerful testimonies, and joining in prayer for our families, our city, our nation, and our world.

Church leaders, police officers, school administrators, nonprofit organizations serving our city, and many others came together in unity and faith. We were encouraged by an inspiring report from Stable Families, a scripture reading from Rev. Rich Smith, a missions video update, and a heartfelt testimony from the Superintendent of the Rome City School District about how God specifically called her to serve here in Rome about one year ago.

☀️One thing was abundantly clear today: God is at work in Rome, NY - and He is moving far beyond what we can see. How encouraging it is to know that the Lord “bends His ear” to His people when they gather together to prayerfully seek Him.
Delta Lake Bible Conference Center is honored to once again host this meaningful event that brings the Christian community together in unity, worship, and prayer. 🙏✨

📍 Campus Spotlight: Mini Lodge
Cozy, and full of charm, the Mini Lodge is one of Delta Lake’s most inviting places to stay.

Step inside to a welcoming lobby with a stone fireplace, comfortable lounge seating, and space for game nights, meetings, or quiet moments with a cup of coffee. In the summer, the spacious deck becomes the perfect place to gather, with tables and seating set up to enjoy the fresh air.

Located just across from the Main Tab, you’ll often hear beautiful worship music drifting through the breeze! 🎶🙌

With bunk-style rooms (sleeping 4) and a couple of queen rooms upstairs, the Mini Lodge is a great fit for retreat groups, guest speakers, and families attending Family Camp.

Week 3 and the creativity just keeps stitching itself into something beautiful 🧵✨

Our conference room has been full of steady hands, and incredible craftsmanship as three different quilting groups have already gathered - and we’re not done yet! Another wonderful group is arriving next week, ready to keep the momentum going.

These ladies are doing more than sewing - they’re creating gifts filled with love. From pieces for animal hospitals and children’s hospitals to sweet quilts for newborns, grandchildren, and their own families… every stitch tells a story.

There’s something special about time set apart like this - no interruptions, just space to focus, create, and connect. Add in delicious meals and comfortable lodging, and it becomes a retreat that fills more than just their sewing baskets ❤️

Our cabins are where so much of Delta Lake life happens, from late-night laughs with cabinmates to early mornings getting ready for a full day of activities. This is where youth campers, counselors, families, and many guest groups call home during their stay.

With two cabin areas, Boys Town and Girls Town, and nearby bathhouses, it’s a true summer camp experience from start to finish.
