We were honored to have as guest speaker today, Sammy Rich, the City Manager, for the City of Rome Georgia. He presented progress reports on current and future SPLOST projects. He also gave a detailed explanation of how our property tax dollars are being spent focusing on public safety and our schools. He gave us a overview of the city's budget as well.

🚨 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: COOSA VALLEY FAIR – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 🚨

Due to the National Weather Service forecast for high winds and concerns for the safety of our guests, volunteers, and midway personnel, the Coosa Valley Fair will not operate as usual today, Saturday, October 10.

🎡 MIDWAY RIDES & ENTERTAINMENT: All midway rides and scheduled entertainment shows are canceled for today.

🏛️ EXHIBIT BUILDINGS: The following buildings WILL BE OPEN today:

Community Building

Arts & Photography Building

Village Building

All outside exhibits will be closed.

👑 PAGEANTS: All scheduled pageants WILL GO ON AS PLANNED at their regularly scheduled times.

🏆 EXHIBIT & PREMIUM PICKUP: If you entered an exhibit or have prize money to collect, please come to the fairgrounds TOMORROW, Sunday, October 11, between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. to pick up your entries and any premiums awarded.

We know this is disappointing, especially on what would have been our final day of the 2026 Coosa Valley Fair. However, the safety of everyone involved must come first.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and patience. We sincerely appreciate everyone who has supported this year's fair! ❤️
