As we get very close to say good-bye to October & Breast Cancer Awareness month, please take the time to read below:
GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS! Don't skip these critical procedures!
You think it's uncomfortable and a hassle to do? Think again, it's worth it. Cancer screenings increases your chances of finding cancers early, therefore starting the proper protocol for treatment. You can start getting mammograms at age 40, or earlier if you have family history or at a high risk. Please don't skip your mammograms!
DO YOUR SELF-EXAMS! Monthly, if not weekly.
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, YOUR MIND! If you feel something odd, if you feel pain, or if you just feel off, call your primary care facility and get scheduled for an exam. Don't delay!
MAINTAIN A HEALTHY WEIGHT, LIMIT ALCOHOL & QUIT SMOKING! Enough said.
ENGAGE IN REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY! Get off the couch and get moving! Go for a walk. Winter is coming, put on your boots and get outside. Walk around your house and yard in the snow- a perfect activity to get moving!
REDUCE STRESS! Read a book, try yoga and / or meditation, listen to music, pray daily.
