Journey Food Pantry will be distributing groceries on Wednesday 1/7/2026 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon and 1pm - 5 pm.

We have a lot of food to distribute. Canned and dry goods, spiral hams, a variety of roast, chicken, beef and fish as well as fresh vegetables, fruit, breads and desserts. We also have a variety of coffee this week for clients to choose from.

Client’s MUST bring their photo ID with a copy of their utility bill, medical bill or piece of government mail, dated within the past two months. No junk mail. Address on ID and mail must match.
PLEASE come prepared with the appropriate ID & mail. You are encouraged to share this ad with families that need food assistance and please remember to let them know what ID and mail they need to bring with them to receive the food.

HOUSEHOLDS CAN BE SERVED ONCE PER MONTH. Journey Community Food Pantry currently serves residents of Floyd & Chattooga County Georgia and Cherokee Alabama.

Journey Food Pantry will be distributing groceries Wednesday 1/8/2025, 10-12 and 1-5.
In preparation for our "artic weekend with possible snow" we do have fresh eggs, deli, sandwich items, chips, produce and some holiday hams/turkeys available for distribution. Ham/turkey will be distributed on a first come first served basis until they are gone.
Please remember to bring your photo ID with a copy of your utility bill, medical bill or piece of government mail, dated within the past two months. No junk mail. Address on ID and mail must match.

Journey Community Food Pantry will be distributing food to those in need on Wednesday, 6/5//24, 10-12 and 1-5. Along with our regular groceries we have a variety of nonfood items that will be available to our clients as well. Quantities are limited and will be distributed upon request until they are gone. Some of the specialty items available this week include the following:

1). A variety of quality vitamins.
2). Health and beauty products.
3). Liquid hand soaps
4). Adult diapers size small.
5). Over the counter medications.
7). Pediasure and Ensure protein shakes
8), Some Paper products (toilet paper, napkins, etc.

Please remember that JCFP serves clients in Floyd County, Chattooga County and Cherokee County Alabama. You MUST have a current photo ID (License or State ID) and a piece of mail (with the same address) verifying your residency. The mail should be a recent utility bill, piece of government mail (IRS, GDOR, SSI, DFAC's, lease agreement, etc.). It cannot be junk mail. We appreciate all of you who come prepared and have your ID ready. It allows the volunteers at JCFP to get you served quickly.

Journey Community Food Pantry will be distributing food to those in need on Wednesday, 5/1/24, 10-12 and 1-5. We have children vitamins available for distribution as well. Quantities are limited and will be distributed upon request until they are gone.

Journey will be providing additional GNAP food bags to families with children living in the home. This is in addition to the regular groceries bring distributed. The addional bags of food will be distributed to all eligible households on a first come first serve basis until the GNAP inventory is gone.

Monday 4/15/24 applications are being accepted for our Commodity Supplemental Food Program. (CSFP). This is a program for any low income senior adult 60+ who qualifies.

Applicants MUST:

(1) be at least 60 years old on application date.
(2) be a current resident of Floyd County.
(3) have income within the approved guidelines

Applications accepted 10 am - 2 pm 4/15/24.
You must bring the following to apply.

(1) current photo ID. (GA license or stste ID)
(2) current utility bill or lease agreement for proof of residency.
(3) statement of income from Social Security, SSI, etc., to verify income.

Individuals who qualify and are accepted as a CSFP client will receive a large nonperishable grocery (canned, dry, bagged, boxed) box each month and additional perishable items (as available) provided by Journey Community Food Pantry.

We currently serve 60 Floyd County Seniors with this program. We have been approved for an additional 100 clients.

Journey Community Food Pantry

Holiday food boxes will be distributed at our regular food pantry distribution on 12/6/23, 12/13/23 and 12/20/23. There is no preregistration. You must be a Floyd County or Chattooga County Georgia resident. JCFP is also serving clients from Cherokee County Alabama. All clients will need a GA or Alabama State photo ID (drivers license or state ID). Clients will also need to bring a current utility bill or recent piece of government mail to verify residency in the appropriate county. Appropriate ID and verification mail is a must to be served. There can be no exceptions.

Pantry hours: 10-12 and 1-5 pm.

Journey Community Food Pantry (JCFP) will be distributing food on Wednesday 8/23/23, 10-12 and 1-5 pm. Currently serving clients in Floyd & Chattooga County Georgia as well as those in Cherokee County Alabama. You must have a CURRENT Georgia or Alabama Photo ID with an address in the eligible counties to be served.

We are fortunate to have been able to obtain lots of fresh & frozen meats, dinners, breads, deserts, etc., for distribution this week. We also have additional GNAP food for families with children. Many kid friendly foods available, Eggos, pop tarts, some cereals, jello, fruit cups, etc.

If you are in need of food or know someone who is, please pass this information along to them.

Thank you North Broad Baptist Church for all of your hard work at Journey Community Food Pantry Friday afternoon. This amazing group of people packed 170 boxes/bags of groceries to be distributed through the pantry to families/individuals in need of food.

Journey Community Food Pantry is distributing food TODAY 10-12 and 1-5. JCFP serves clients in need of food from Floyd County, Chattooga County and Cherokee County Alabama. No referral necessary. However, you must show a current photo ID (Georgia or Alabama Drivers License or State ID. Clients can receive food one time monthly per household.
