Silver Spur LL are the California State 13U Runners Up for 2023. It was a hard fought state tournament for our kids and in the end they ran up against a really great Encinitas LL squad that featured a gifted young pitcher. Amazing sportsmanship all around and we are so proud of our kids. They represented our SSLL community, and the Palos Verdes community at large, with class and dignity. They showed grit, they worked hard and they never let the pressure get to them on the field. We had channeled "LEAVE A LEGACY" for these boys all year long and that is exactly what they did in winning the first ever Sectional title and first ever CA State Tournament games in Silver Spur Little League 's 65 year history. A HUGE thank you to the players, the coaches and the families, who had to drop everything and get kids to games, long distances away, rather last minute. And thank you for all of the encouragement that flowed in from the community for the team ... baseball is a marathon and this journey is just starting for these talented boys.

Silver Spur LL beat Golden Hill LL 10-9 and has now advanced to the CA State 13U Championship game today at 12:30PM in Ventura CA.

Cash Hines and Josh Lee hit back-to-back 1st inning HRs and Jack Suhling hit a grandslam to give SSLL the lead in the game. Phillip An got the game winning RBI on a single.

Logan Ro made two spectacular catches in the OF, including a full speed run, up a small hill, crashing into the fence and holding on to the baseball.

Cash Hines pitched 4 2/3 innings and struck out 9 batters, closing out the game and getting the W.

Logan Ro walked off Silver Spur in a 4-3, 9 Inning win over Golden Hill LL, at Montalvo LL in Ventura, CA in the CA State 13U tournament on Monday. The boys fought hard in a tight game with great pitching performances from Jacob Matsunaga, Cash Hines and Aiden Vargas ... Jayden Lee scored the winning run. Josh Lee had another big hit, Sam Girard had a magnificent catch in CF and Cash Hines/Phillip An pulled off a spectacular 5-2-3 double play on a su***de squeeze play. All around brilliant game by the SSLL 13U boys! Now on to face Encinitas LL on Thursday, 5:30PM at Perez Field, Foothills LL, Ventura, CA.

Silver Spur Little League beat Santa Anita LL, 5-4 in the opening round of the CA State 13U Tournament at Foothills LL in Ventura, CA. Josh Lee threw 6 2/3 innings, 15K, 1ER and hit 2 HRs in the game and Jayden Lee hit a HR. Strong performance from the team. Next up, SSLL faces Golden Hill LL (Fullerton CA) tonight, Monday July 10th 5:30PM, at Montalvo LL in Ventura, CA.

Silver Spur won the Section 4 Championship, beating Santa Monica LL 14-3 in 4 innings (mercy rule). SSLL outscored opponents 53-6 over 3 games in winning the Section. It is Silver Spur's first ever Sectional Championship and this talented team is now headed to the California State Championship in Venture, CA, hosted by Foothill Little League. SSLL plays its first CA State game on July 8th at 4PM in Ventura CA (Perez Field at Arroyo Verde Park).

Come out and watch Aiden Vargas and Damian Maddern take on Inglewood in a winner's bracket Sectional game, Thursday June 29th, 5PM at Riviera LL. Winner heads to the Sectional Finals on Sunday.

Our SSLL boys hit 4HRs (Damian had 2) while Phillip An threw a 1-hitter to beat Torrance LL, 16-0 last night in Sectional action.

Silver Spur Little League won the District 36 50/70 (13U) Title last Thursday in an 11-4 win over Manhattan Beach LL at Ernie Howlett Field in the City of Rolling Hills Estates. This is the first District title for SSLL since 2007 and the first 50/70 (13U) title in Palos Verdes history. This talented team of well coached athletes takes on Torrance Little League in the SoCal Sectionals next. SSLL and Torrance played each other 4+ times this year, so it will be a friendly battle on the field this week. Come out and root on your District 36 champs, this Wednesday!

April 15th, 9AM-12NOON, Silver Spur is hosting its 2nd Annual MLB Day at Ernie Howlett Park in the City of Rolling Hills Estates. We have a roster of ex-MLB stars signed up to run drills, teach skills and inspire young baseball players in their game. Its open to players from T-Ball up to High School level and every child leaves with a signed baseball for home. Come out, grab a snack from the Snack Shack and enjoy the morning with us and our MLB stars.
