There is something incredibly special about watching a new generation grow alongside the Cancer Gala.

For years, Abigail has been a part of the Cancer Gala family, first as a member of our Legacy Team. What began as a opportunity to be involved at a young age has grown into a genuine connection to our mission and desire to continue making a difference.

Now, as she begins an exciting new chapter in college, with plans to pursue medical school in the future, we are so proud to welcome Abigail into a new role with the Cancer Gala. From Legacy Team member to the next generation of Cancer Gala leadership, it is truly so special to see this journey come full circle as she continues to grow alongside our mission and help carry it forward.

Today, we're introducing one of the newest faces on our Cancer Gala team, Jennifer Kimple!

The Cancer Gala is made stronger by those who are willing to step forward, get involved, and help us continue the work that has meant so much to our community for more than 40 years.

We're so pleased to welcome Jennifer and are grateful to have her with us as we look ahead to the memories we'll make and the impact still to come.

The Cancer Gala Poinsettia Fundraiser is officially underway! By purchasing a poinsettia, you're not only bringing a little Christmas beauty into your home- you're helping support the Cancer Gala and our continued mission to make a difference for those affected by cancer in our community.

Poinsettias also make wonderful gifts for friends, family, teachers, coworker or someone special you would like to brighten the season for.

One of the most meaningful parts of the Cancer Gala is seeing our team continue to grow with people who believe in making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Each new member brings their own experiences, talents, and heart to our mission, and we are so grateful to have them alongside us.

For 41 years, our community has come together to celebrate, give, remember, and most importantly, bring hope to those facing cancer. The Cancer Gala is more than an annual event. It's a community coming together with one shared purpose: to make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

Hope through research- Right here in our community.

We are grateful for researchers like Dr. Mostafa Yazdi of Missouri S&T whose dedication and work are helping advance the future of cancer treatment.

One in three patients with triple-negative breast cancer will develop the disease again. One in five will die within five years.

A Missouri S&T researcher is using microscopic nanoparticles trained on patients' own tumor signatures to give their immune systems a fighting chance.
