Funding MEP Centers is one of the highest-return investments the federal government can make. In 2024 alone, MEPs saved manufacturers $2.6 billion, generated $5 billion in new manufacturing investments, and created or retained over 108,000 manufacturing jobs.

As we rally around ‘Made in America,’ now is the time to double down on support for MEP - not walk it back. Read more in Magazine on the support MEP delivers for small manufacturers and how funding cuts are threatening this critical program:

Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Centers Under Fire. We often hear that “small business is the backbone of the country” and that we need to bring manufacturing “back” to the United States. Interestingly, manufacturing in the U.S. has been surprisingly stable over the last 10 – 15 ...

I had the opportunity to attend the Annual “Buy Missouri” day at the Capitol in Jefferson City yesterday. It is inspiring to know that Missouri has an initiative like this to actively promote products that are grown, manufactured, processed or made here in Missouri. I had the opportunity to meet our new Lt. Governor Wasinger to hear his committed support for Missouri’s manufacturers. I was able to meet with over 30 manufacturers to learn more about their products, how they were produced and heard amazing stories about their success. The Buy Missouri program was started by then Lt. Governor Parson and has grown to over 650 members. The amazing part of this group is that over 50% of these manufactures’ products are manufactured or produced in Missouri. That is truly a “Missouri Team Effort!!”
