Extreme heat warning remains in effect through Sunday. Temperatures in the way upper 90s to 100° combined with high dew points will make the heat index in the absolute miserable range going up to or exceeding 108°, please take the necessary precautions and if you have a window unit or something please use it.

Extreme heat continues through this weekend, with daily highs in the upper 90s to around 100. NWS HeatRisk highlights the potential for heat-related impacts in the major to extreme category. Here is another way to look at our potential snow amounts. Each chart shows the chance of reaching specific snow amounts and a few locations. You can see that while there is still a wide range of potential snow amounts, confidence is high that all but our northernmost areas will see impactful snow accumulations, with a reasonable chance (20 to 60%) for many areas to see over 8" of snow.
