⭐Meet the Board: Dan Lester⛏
Dan Lester is a proud Missouri S&T graduate and a dynamic leader committed to building stronger, more inclusive workplaces and communities. A 2005 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business and management information systems, Dan has built a career centered on the belief that people are an organization’s greatest asset.
As Vice President of Field Culture and Inclusion at Clayco, Dan leads the strategic integration of inclusion and culture initiatives across the organization. His work focuses on improving job-site environments, advancing equity, and helping teams create psychologically safe, high-performing workplaces.
A nationally recognized speaker, educator, and coach, Dan is known for helping organizations navigate complex challenges related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. He co-founded The Art of Adaption with his wife, Burnea, a framework that uses data-driven strategies to foster practical, inclusive cultural change.
Dan is deeply engaged in service and leadership beyond his professional role. He has served on multiple boards and advisory groups, including the Missouri S&T Miner Alumni Association, where he contributes his time and expertise to advancing the university’s mission and strengthening alumni connections.
A former student-athlete and campus leader, Dan was a two-sport athlete in football and track and field and was actively involved in student organizations during his time at S&T. His commitment to leadership and community has continued throughout his career, earning him recognition as a Diverse Business Leader, Inclusion Champion, and a Top 100 HR Influencer.
Through his work, Dan remains passionate about creating environments where individuals and organizations can thrive—making a lasting impact on industries, communities, and future generations of Miner alumni.
