Two hundred years of history, community, and Ozark heritage, and the celebration is just getting started.

This year, Maramec Spring Park is celebrating the bicentennial of the historic Maramec Iron Works, founded in 1826 and known for helping fuel westward expansion and even supplying iron for Union ironclads during the Civil War. The park will host special events throughout the year, including concerts, festivals, educational activities, and the beloved Old Iron Works Festival this fall.

From hiking trails and trout fishing to rich Missouri history, there’s never been a better time to visit one of the Ozarks’ most iconic destinations.

Missouri S&T has officially opened the Missouri Protoplex, a 117,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility designed to bring industry, research and workforce development together under one roof.

As the first building in the university’s new Manufacturing Technology and Innovation Campus, the Protoplex features high-bay manufacturing space, cutting-edge equipment and millions in industry-backed partnerships to help companies design, test and scale new technologies.

This is more than a campus milestone. It’s a major economic development win for our region, strengthening the talent pipeline, supporting manufacturers of all sizes and positioning Missouri as a leader in advanced manufacturing innovation.
