Last week, our members joined Stevie Kearse for a conversation on Personal Branding & Career Advancement. She reminded us that personal branding isn’t something we have to create from scratch. We already have one.
The question is: What do you want people to know you for?
Stevie challenged our members to think about the three words they want people to use when describing them and, most importantly, to put themselves out there and intentionally build a reputation that reflects who they want to be.
And perhaps the best example was Stevie’s own story. From just being inside the Chamber office on business in the 90's to now 27 years with the Rolla Chamber and serving in her 19th year as the Executive Director, her career is a powerful reminder of what can happen when you show up, make connections, put yourself out there, and continue growing.
