What an incredible afternoon celebrating the people who make our mission possible. 💚

Our Volunteer Appreciation Celebration was a chance to pause, say thank you, and recognize the hundreds of volunteers, donors, community partners, and supporters who help ensure local students have food for the weekend.

This school year, together with our remote pantry partners, we packed and distributed a record 19,044 weekend meal bags to food-insecure students across 22 schools in our community.

That’s 19,044 times a child had food for the weekend because someone chose to care.

We are also incredibly grateful to the businesses and families who helped make this celebration possible:
💚 The Town of Rolesville for providing our beautiful venue
🎶 Allen Smith & Team Encompass for sound and entertainment
🍽️ The Cook Group and the Green family for providing the meal
🥤 The Iuppa family for beverages and snacks
🧁 Sweetheart Treats for the delicious gluten-free desserts
Law Office of Micheal Paul for signage and hands-on coordination of the event logistics

This event was a celebration of service, generosity, and the power of community. Every bag packed, every donation made, every route driven, and every hour volunteered matters.

Thank you to every person who has helped us serve students over the past 15 years. Because of you, thousands of local students have gone home with the food they need.

And we’re just getting started.

Over the coming days, we’ll be highlighting the incredible volunteers and community partners who were recognized with special awards at this year’s celebration. We can’t wait to share their stories with you. 💚

We love seeing community partners jump in and become part of the work, not just by giving, but by serving alongside us. Your generosity and enthusiasm help ensure local students have the food they need for the weekend, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Our monthly Food Bank delivery day takes a village, and we are so grateful for the volunteers who make it happen.

A special thank you to Michael, Mikey, and Rick for picking up and delivering our pallets of food, and to our incredible Friday volunteer team who unloaded, sorted, counted, and stocked everything in our pantry. Their hard work behind the scenes is a vital part of ensuring local students have weekend meals waiting for them each week.

Thank you all for giving your time, energy, and muscle to support our mission. We couldn’t do it without you!

This week, the amazing team from Enbridge helped pack 521 meal bags for local students, bringing great energy and a true spirit of service to every task.

We are incredibly grateful for partners like Enbridge who take a hands-on approach to making a difference. Thank you for investing your time and effort to help ensure students in our community have food for the weekend. We loved having you with us!
