NOTICE TO THE COMMUNITY

Due to the NOW Coalition funding for the medication drop box program ending, the prescription medication drop box located at the Police Department is currently unavailable for use.

At this time, the drop box has been locked and can no longer accept medications for disposal.

We understand this service has been a valuable resource for safely disposing of unused, expired, or unwanted medications, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Should alternative disposal options become available, we will provide an update to the community.

Thank you for your understanding.

A huge thank you to Project Delta for partnering with us and donating stuffed animals for our officers to carry and provide to children during traumatic situations, difficult calls, and unexpected emergencies.

In some of the hardest moments a child may experience, something as simple as a stuffed animal can provide comfort, security, and a sense of calm. These items will help us better support the children we encounter when they need it most.

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness, generosity, and support shown to our department and our community’s children. Thank you for helping us make difficult moments a little less scary. 💙

Today, we ask our community to come together in prayer for a neighboring officer, his family, and his law enforcement family.

Every day, officers put on the uniform knowing there is a chance they may not make it home. They continue to serve anyway — protecting complete strangers, answering calls without hesitation, and standing in the gap for their communities.

Please take a moment today to pray for strength, healing, protection, and peace for everyone affected.

Sending prayers to the Leflore County Sheriff’s Office as they lay a fallen officer to rest.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and your service Officer LeMay. You will never be forgotten.

Prayers for strength and comfort for the family, friends, and the entire law enforcement community during this difficult time.

Last night, LeFlore County lost one of our own.
A deputy was taken from us, and an officer is currently in the hospital.

Our hearts are broken.

Today, we ask our community to come together in prayer—for the family of the fallen deputy, for the officer in the hospital, and for every first responder standing the line today.

Please keep all first responders in LeFlore County in your thoughts—
law enforcement, fire, EMS, and dispatchers—the unseen voices who answer the call and stay until help arrives.

In moments like this, we are reminded that behind every badge, every headset, and every uniform… is a person, a family, and a sacrifice most will never fully understand.

Stand with us. Pray with us. Support those who continue to serve.
