This is your chance to be part of one of Rogue River’s most iconic traditions. Whether your crow is loud, dramatic, hilarious, or full of personality, we want to hear it.

Bring your confidence, bring your crowd, and come compete for bragging rights at the Rooster Crow crowing event.

Kids, it’s your time to crow.

During the Rooster Crow Festival, kids who come up and give their best rooster crow can stop by the Kiwanis trailer for a free ice cream sandwich.

It’s a fun way for the next generation to join in one of Rogue River’s favorite traditions, make a little noise, and enjoy a sweet treat at the festival.

Rooster Crow Parade

Get ready for one of Rogue River’s favorite community traditions — the Rooster Crow Parade.

Join us as local businesses, families, organizations, classic cars, community groups, and festival participants come together to celebrate small-town pride and the spirit of Rooster Crow. The parade is a chance to gather, cheer, wave, and enjoy the creativity and energy that makes Rogue River such a special place.

Whether you’re participating in the parade or watching from the sidewalk, we invite you to come be part of the celebration.

We are proud to announce that Rogue River Police Chief David Rash has been recognized as Oregon Police Chief of the Year!

Chief David is this year’s Rogue River Kiwanis Club President and a member of the Rooster Crow Planning Committee. Look below for the official statement:

Police Chief Dave Rash Recognized as the

Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police as Police Chief of the Year

The City of Rogue River announces that Chief Dave Rash was honored on May 14th , 2026 at the annual Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police Conference, held in Pendleton Oregon, with the Police Chief of the Year Award which reads:

With great honor and pride the Oregon Association Chiefs of Police recognizes Chief Dave Rash as the 2025 Police Chief of the Year. With more than 34 years of law enforcement experience, you have served with integrity, humility, and an unrelenting commitment to excellence. As Chief in Hubbard, you built a model of community-centered policing, strengthening trust between the department and the residents, schools and businesses it served while demonstrating the fiscal discipline and strategic leadership that small agencies depend on.

In just over two years leading the Rogue River Police Department, you full staffed the department for the first time in more than a decade, achieved Northwest Accreditation Alliance certification, and ensured every officer reached the highest level of DPSST certification. A tireless advocate for Southern Oregon law enforcement, you have expanded regional training, revitalized interagency collaboration, and created new opportunities for agencies across Josephine and Jackson County to work and grow together.

Your contributions to OACP and the FBI National Academy Associates reflect the same dedication you bring to your own department: building relationships, investing in people, and strengthening the profession for those who follow.

Respected by your peers, your community, and the officers you lead, you exemplify what it means to serve with vision and purpose.

Logos for this year’s Rooster Crow Festival

2026 Rooster Crow and 2026 Car Show logo designs have been released! The event logo will be on event advertising and t-shirts. The car show logo will be on the car show plaques and magnets. Magnets are free. T-shirts will be for sale.

Rooster Crow Art Show at the Woodville Museum

Join Rogue Artists on Saturday, June 27th for the Rooster Crow Art Show at the Woodville Museum.

This colorful community event celebrates local creativity while supporting one of Rogue River’s historic community spaces. Guests can enjoy artwork, connect with local artists, and take part in a raffle for a chance to win a painting.

All raffle proceeds benefit the Woodville Museum, helping support preservation, programming, and community access for future visitors.
