As you spend the summer decluttering, cleaning out bookshelves, or preparing for yard sales, please keep the Heritage Lites in mind!

We are now collecting donations for our Used Book Sale Fundraiser and would love to give your gently loved books a new home. We are accepting:

📚 Children’s books
📚 Beach reads
📚 Mystery novels
📚 Historical fiction and nonfiction
📚 Biographies
📚 And many other genres

At this time, we are not accepting self-help books or encyclopedias.

While we are grateful for every donation, we kindly ask that books be in good condition, with all pages intact.

🧩 New this year—by popular request—we are also collecting puzzles! Please make sure all pieces are included in the box.

To arrange a drop-off time, please call 423-272-1961 or email [email protected].

Thank you for supporting the Heritage Lites and helping us preserve and share local history while investing in our youth leadership program!

Special thanks to for giving the grounds of the Hale Springs Inn a beautiful refresh. It was a labor-intensive day of removing the old and bringing in fresh sod, but the transformation was well worth the effort. The Inn is looking absolutely stunning, and we are so grateful for their hard work, dedication, and generosity. What a beauty she is! 🌿🏡✨

There is something magical about Crockett Spring Park. She comes alive when people gather beneath her trees. She welcomes those seeking laughter and fellowship, but she is just as comforting to those who simply need a quiet place to sit and listen to the creek. The water invites the young and the young at heart, and once again, she did not disappoint for Junk & Jam.

What a beautiful day! Mother Nature was kind to us, and we managed to dodge the rain. Nearly 50 vendors filled the park with antiques, handmade goods, treasures, and creativity. Music drifted through the air as visitors enjoyed delicious hot dogs, walking tacos, and sweet treats from Shug’s Ice Cream. Shoppers had wonderful things to say about the quality and variety of items our vendors brought, while vendors complimented the music and atmosphere. The compliments came full circle all day long.

There were smiles everywhere. Children danced to the music. Friends visited under the shade trees. Families explored the park together. It was simply a beautiful sight to see.

And just as quickly as it arrived, the day came to an end. The tents came down, the music faded, and Crockett Spring Park returned to a clean slate, ready to welcome visitors for their lunch breaks and afternoon strolls once again.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shopped, supported our vendors, and spent part of your Saturday with us. Events like this are only possible because of the people who show up and make them special.
