Hurricane Cemetery Hurricane Cemetery, an Alabama non-profit corporation, was formed to own, manage and maintain a historical cemetery located in eastern Lauderdale County.

We also maintain a Community Center for public use.

Thank you to both State Representative Ben Harrison and State Senator Tim Melson for helping to provide funds to complete repairs to Old Hurricane Community Center which was damaged by flooding from frozen pipes last year. This grant will help us to complete the much needed restoration.

Unfortunately one of the big iconic oak trees in front of the old church and cemetery has become unsafe and is going to be removed. The two big oaks have provided a lot of shade for many years. We hope to save the other one for a few more years. 😞
