Healing Hope Update 2/8/25

Just wanted to give a quick update on our ministry here. We have finally gotten approval for construction on the main log home which grading and foundation work to begin in March and logs will be here May 8th. It has been a challenging year getting to this point but know God is working through each step of the way.
We are excited as we get closer to opening Healing Hopes ministry home this year. Once we get moved in the main log home we will open the guest cottage for families that have lost a child. Our ministry will help families and their support systems find hope and healing after the loss of a child. Through love, we meet people where they are and hold a safe space to process grief. It is our desire to light a path for Hope and healing.
We do have some needs for the Healing Hopes cottage once we are open which are listed below:
Cooking ware, dish ware, sofa couch, queen size bed, linen for bed, towels for bathroom, small microwave, toaster, refrigerator. These are some of the items we will need for the guest cottage for those families that will be staying here. If you wish to give through donations you can please make checks payable to:
The Bridge Church
2243 E Main St
Rogersville, TN 37857

Please list on bottom of check for Healing Hope Ministry

We are currently in the process of establishing our 501 c so the Church is handling our donations until that time. We will put updates and pictures when construction starts in March or April of log home build. Please continue to pray as we know God is going to use us to walk beside many that are hurting from the loss of a child.

God Bless

Healing Hopes Ministry Update:

2 years ago we sold our home in North Carolina and felt God‘s leading to Tennessee. It has been 7 months since we moved to Tennessee after going through many set backs on getting the guest home built which we are living in until we get the main log home built. All we can say is that God is good and has blessed us in so many ways and the peace and tranquility of this property is a God send. We look forward to using it to help those families who have lost a child by providing a safe place to heal.
It will be 11 years ago this April 1st that we lost our son Jeremy to brain cancer. We know and understand that journey that families face after the loss of a child and are willing to walk beside them in love as they go through this healing process. We know this is where God wants us and this is our hearts passion. 2 Corinthians 1: 3&4 says Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are afflicted with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
We have since partnered with a great church here in Rogersville Tn that desires to work with us while we get our 501C established. If you wish to donate to help our ministry, please send them to:
The Bridge Church
2243 East Main St
Rogersville, Tn 37857

Please make checks out to the Bridge Church, care of Healing Hope Ministries.
We are so thankful for the donations we have received over the last few years as we were able to purchase a big riding mower , chipper shredder and shelter to help take care of the 5 acres. We are continuing to work on the landscape and trails in the woods to provide a place of beauty and healing. Please pray that we will get approved for the loan this year to build the main home so we can start opening our guest home for those hurting families.

God Bless

As we think about the up coming Christmas season, I can't help but remember the first Christmas after the loss of our son. The sounds of laughter and smiles from your child are now filled with only the memory of what Christmas once was. Christmas can be a difficult time for any family who has lost a child and especially if it is their first. Healing begins with sharing those memories with others and talking about your child with others. I know for Julie and I it helped us greatly in the grieving and healing process. Does it bring tears, yes, but tears of joy to know someone wants to talk about your child and to hear their name. We at Healing Hope Ministries are here to talk with you and share in the memories of your child. Please reach out to us at [email protected]

God Bless and Merry Christmas

HEALING HOPES UPDATE:

It has been a while since our last post and as many of you already know we are moving Healing Hopes Ministry to Tennessee. In the last 4 months we have sold our home here in North Carolina and purchased a beautiful piece of property for our Healing Hopes Ministry home. The driveway is completed and excavation for the log home to be built that we will use for our Healing Hopes Ministry home. We are asking for prayer for the financing to build the home and have run into a few road blocks from the banks. Please join us in prayer for financing to begin the building project.
In the last several weeks we have been notified of 5 or 6 families that have lost a child and know the hurt that they are going through. One family lost their 12 year old daughter, another 22 year old son. These families will be going through the Holidays without their child for the first time. Julie and I remember the first Christmas without our son Jeremy. There is a void and silence that you can never get back and know what these families will go through. If you know of a family that is going through the Christmas season that has lost a child, please reach out to them and share our information. We would love to talk with them and walk beside them in their grief.
Be looking for more changes to our face book page in the future.

God bless and Merry Christmas
Andy & Julie Heath
