Compassion in Action
Members of the Rogers Fire Department care for people during some of the hardest moments of their lives. There is an added feeling of helplessness when your child is in need.
Recently, we received a heartfelt letter from a mother whose young daughter experienced a febrile seizure at a water park on Memorial Day. While our crews provided the emergency care she needed, it was the small acts of kindness that left the biggest impact - like turning on Bluey in the ambulance to help comfort a frightened little girl.
Many of our firefighters and paramedics are parents themselves, and that instinct to comfort, reassure, and care for a child comes from experiences they understand firsthand. Behind every uniform is a person who brings compassion, empathy, and humanity to every call.
Thank you to Kaine Kennedy, Jonathan Ponthieux, Bogdan Bartlett, Schuyler Brennan, David Williams, Connor Cawthon, Tanner Horlick, and Michael Minton for representing Rogers Fire Department with professionalism, kindness, and heart. We are proud of the care you provide to our community every day.
