Our hearts are heavy as we said goodbye this weekend to one of our own, Bob Gallus.

Lion Bob joined the Rogers Lions in 1985 and dedicated decades of service to our club and community. He served as President in 1989–1990 and was a true example of what it means to be a Lion.

Throughout the years, Bob was recognized with numerous honors, including Lion of the Year in 1996–1997, the Oliver Kapsner Award in 1999, the Helen Keller Award in 2010, and the Melvin Jones Award in 2020.

More than the awards, Bob will be remembered for his commitment, generosity, and the lasting impact he made on those around him. He was known for his positive attitude and one of the best smiles, something that could truly light up a room.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

This past weekend, members of our club started the day with purpose, helping pack meals with Feed My Starving Children. 💙

Together, we packed 88 boxes of MannaPack Rice, totaling 19,008 meals. That’s enough to provide 52 kids with a daily meal for an entire year.

A simple morning, a powerful impact. Grateful to be part of something that reaches far beyond our community. 🌍
