Today, we join many across Minnesota in mourning the loss of Minnesota State Patrol Lieutenant Tyler Uthe who died by su***de yesterday.
Our hearts are with his family, friends, fellow troopers, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his years of service. Those who dedicate their lives to protecting others often carry burdens that are unseen by the public, reminding us that no one is immune to the invisible wounds of PTSD.
This loss is a painful reminder of why mental health awareness, peer support, and access to effective resources remain so important for first responders, veterans, and their families.
If you are struggling, please know that reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. You do not have to carry the weight alone.
Please keep Lieutenant Uthe's loved ones and the entire Minnesota State Patrol family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
