💙 Weekly Impact Report 💙
This week at Samaritan, 2,273 meals were served in our Cafés and 1,491 neighbors received groceries through our Markets. We also welcomed 33 new families seeking support and hope for the first time.
One of those neighbors was a young widow with three children who came to our Springdale Market. Along with food, she received information about jobs, SNAP benefits, community resources, prayer, and a Bible. Before leaving, she simply said, “I feel so welcome.”
In our Dental Clinic, we met an elderly woman who needed urgent dental treatment before she could receive the knee surgery she desperately needs. Unable to work, struggling financially, and in significant pain, she had been praying for help. After learning we could begin treatment, she broke down in tears, repeatedly saying, “Gloria a Dios” and “Gracias a Dios” — Glory to God and Thank You God.
These moments remind us that Samaritan is about more than meals, groceries, or dental care. It’s about meeting people where they are, walking alongside them through difficult seasons, and sharing hope, dignity, and the love of Christ.
Meanwhile, the Farm continues to flourish. This spring’s harvest has already reached 6,299 pounds of fresh produce — compared to 2,331 pounds at this time last year! Fresh turnips, radishes, greens, carrots, herbs, peas, onions, and more are making their way to our Cafés and Markets, and the first farm bouquets of the season are brightening tables once again.
Thank you to every volunteer, donor, partner, and supporter who makes stories like these possible. Together, we’re helping our neighbors find nourishment, healing, and hope.
