A little delayed in posting, but we wanted to highlight our 4th annual RHS FFA Critter Day!
We battled rain, mud, and a few unexpected challenges, but thanks to the dedication of our students, parents, supporters, and volunteers, RHS FFA Critter Day was still a success!
While attendance wasnโt quite what weโve seen in previous years due to weather and scheduling changes at the end of the school year, we still consider the day a huge win. The smiles, learning opportunities, and community support made it all worthwhile.
This year, our Critter Day shirts were a big hit, and we were excited to welcome back the Drink Wagon. We also added camel rides for the first time, and they were a crowd favorite!
A special thank you to Mr. Roberts and his amazing educational animal exhibit, as well as our school organizations and vendors:
* Mr. Pate and the SEA Club
* Mrs. Anson and the Art Club
* Mrs. Crawford and the Wolf Club
* Mrs. Oliveri and STUCO.
Thank you as well Tia. Few of our members who set up their own booths highlighting their SAE projects.
Thank you to our Yearbook staff and Mrs. Cassidy for all their hard work running the concession stand. We are also incredibly grateful to Tyson Foods for donating leg quarters and to Todd Fenix and COOL BINZ for providing an air-conditioned storage unit that made concession operations so much easier.
A BIG BIG BIG THANK YOU to Mr. Brandon Cassidy precious time out of his day to not only prepare and prep the chicken, but stay up all night long to smoke the chicken and provide us with fantastic meals. Thank you so so much.
Of course, a very special thank you goes to Connie Boger for providing animals, tents, supplies, and countless hours of support. Critter Day simply would not be possible without her. We also appreciate Farmland for bringing animals and helping make the event a memorable educational experience.
A huge thank you to our sponsors, Lindsay & Associates and Simmons Foods, for their generous financial support. Their contributions help make this event possible this year. We are also thankful for all of our FFA parents who donated items and volunteered their time to support the concession stand and event operations.
Events like Critter Day take months of planning and coordination. Our goal is always to provide an opportunity for students and community members to learn about agriculture, livestock, and the many opportunities available through agricultural education and FFA.
Most importantly, we are incredibly proud of our FFA members. Their hard work, leadership, and commitment are what make Critter Day possible year after year. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, sponsored, donated, and helped make the 2026 RHS FFA Critter Day a success!
We canโt wait to see everyone again next year! ๐๐ด๐ฐ๐ช๐ฎ๐๐
