Wow. Let me first say that I am blown away by the submissions for Terror on the Plains part III this year. I got more films this year than we have for the previous two years of the festival.

This is both good and bad news.

It's great, because it means filmmakers are enjoying the TotP experience and submitting again and it means that word is really beginning to spread. Which is fantastic. Please, keep talking and spreading the word.

The bad news is I won't be able to show all the films. And more films submitted means more cuts to make to fit within the hour or so allotment we have to show the films on Oct. 29.

I should have final decisions made by Friday. Next week, on Oct. 22, I am going on Kansas City Live to discuss the 2014 Terror Fest and I will be taking one of our lucky filmmakers with me.

Thank you again, for your submissions, and as always...your devotion to the Terror on the Plains Horror Fest, PoPFilmKC, and the filmmaking community in Kansas City.

The submissions for TERROR ON THE PLAINS 3 are rolling in and I'm loving what I'm seeing. I'm going to have some tough choices to make.

But there's still plenty of time to submit your horror short. The deadline is Tuesday Oct. 14 at midnight.
