Each Tuesday this month we are highlighting a special story, part of the foundation, and our mission to get the community involved.

This month shines a light on the importance of raising critical funds and awareness for childhood cancer research. This month long partnership allows for the community to enjoy a sweet treat and help plant Hope throughout Northeast Ohio 🍫

Kicking off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with a pop-up at Malley's Chocolates in Brook Park! Maria's Chocolate Bar will be available for purchase all month long, helping to spread awareness during this critical month🌻🍫

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and in recognition we’ve partnered with Prayers From Maria Foundation to make Maria’s Chocolate Bar available at all Malley’s locations.

Each bar is packed with dried cranberries and salted sunflower seeds (of course!) all covered in rich milk chocolate. A portion of proceeds from each bar sold will go to Prayers From Maria. The bars will also be available at the organization’s Field of Hope and Rocky River gift shop.

We’re kicking off the month at our Brook Park headquarters by hosting the Prayers From Maria team. Stop by from open until 11 a.m. to browse their merchandise table.

Plus, the first 10 guests to purchase a Maria’s Chocolate Bar in Brook Park on Sept. 1 (tomorrow!) will also receive a complimentary crocheted sunflower 🌻

Meet derekhess on 9/5 from 1 - 3 PM at Maria’s Field of Hope in Avon. Derek is a world-renowned illustrator featured in The Louvre, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and The Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

Derek has defined four decades of rock music through distinctive concert posters and album art. His work is well-known for using a technique called “Forced Perspective,” which is also the title of a five-time, award-winning documentary film about his life.

Beyond his historical rock concert posters, Derek’s originals and prints, including several new sunflower drawings, will be available for purchase, providing a unique lens into with the striking beauty of the natural world.

Bring your own sketchbooks while you walk and draw the blooming sunflowers, and receive drawing tips from the artist himself!
