Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT)

Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT) THUS, THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF NEOPAT IS WORKING WITH AND THROUGH EXISTING ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT DESERVING MILITARY PERSONNEL & FAMILIES WHO NEED ASSISTANCE.

The Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT) is a non-profit organization created to Keep the Promise to honor and remember those who serve, or have served, and assist our nation’s heroes and their families in their time of need. The Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization created to honor patriots who serve, or have served, in the armed f

orces by working to minimize the sacrifices endured by them and their families. In addition to voluntarily spending extended periods of time away from home and risking injury or death to secure our freedom, NEOPAT has identified that service men and women often return to civilian life with needs that aren’t directly addressed by existing government programs. Immediate family members of those service men and women also join in the sacrifice by taking on added responsibilities such as overcoming financial hardships and dealing with lifechanging injury or loss of their relative. Established organizations who are dedicated to assisting these patriots and their families are overtaxed, undermanned and underfunded which puts limitations on their effectiveness. To accomplish this goal, NEOPAT will:

Raise money for a select group of established, local partner organizations in order to improve their effectiveness and maximize their impact. Utilize and expand our network of professional relationships to connect partner organizations with members of the community who can enhance fundraising, awareness, volunteer and marketing opportunities. NEOPAT is also dedicated to promoting patriotic acts that will deepen the sense of patriotism locally. By encouraging non-military individuals and families to share time, talents and finances to benefit local patriots and creating interaction opportunities between civilian and militaryfamilies, NEOPAT can highlight the importance of patriotism for generations to come.

Today, we remember U.S. Navy Corpsman Maxton “Max” Soviak of Berlin Heights, whose life was tragically cut short while serving in Afghanistan.
Max was known for his adventurous spirit, contagious laugh, fierce loyalty, and passion for living life to the fullest. As our 2023 Charles Kirby Wilcox Honoree, NEOPAT was honored to share his story and recognize the impact he made during his too-short life.

NEOPAT recently brought community and business leaders together for a Lunch & Learn at Lincoln Electric, creating an opportunity to connect, share ideas and explore ways we can continue supporting Northeast Ohio’s veterans, service members and military families.
Thank you to Lincoln Electric for hosting and to Charlie LaRiche, Corrie Bailey and Courtney Bailey for sharing their insights and stories. We also appreciated the opportunity to tour the Lincoln Electric Welding School and learn more about its commitment to training and career opportunities.
