This morning, the Hockey Mom Foundation granted $25,000 to the Igniting Cancer Breakthroughs Fund at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Our donation will help train cell production specialists to enable the launch of studies investigating the use of CAR T-Cell therapy to treat adult and pediatric sarcoma, a rare cancer of bone and soft tissue. This therapy has already proven successful in treating liquid cancers. Under Igniting Cancer Breakthroughs, researchers will now turn their attention to improving efficacy in solid tumors.
