Join us this weekend, December 13th from 10am-2pm at the Rocky River Public Library for Brushes and Books. In partnership with the Rocky River National Art Honors Society, this winter art market features hand crafted art, live music, coffee from Ready Set Coffee, donuts from Big Mouth Donuts, and much more! Purchase tickets for your family for just $30 or individuals for $20. Ticket proceeds directly benefit The Rocky River Public Library Foundation, which in turn, supports The Rocky River Public Library. We're 4 days away from Art in the Archives! Only a handful of tickets remain, so don't miss your chance for this wonderful community event.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT- JULIE SHEIL

New this year!

Julie Sheil is a self-taught artist residing in Cleveland, Ohio. Although primarily a painter, Julie fully embraces life as a multifaceted creative. Her complete body of work includes abstract collage art, pet portrait collage, and functional art pieces.
Her work has been included in over a dozen juried group exhibitions in Northeast Ohio, and her work has been awarded second place in two juried exhibitions. In addition to exhibiting her work, Julie has participated in several juried art fairs and vendor events. Her work is enjoyed by multiple private collectors throughout the United States. Her hand painted greeting cards can be found at The Wine Spot and the Valley Art Shop.
Julie is an active member of Valley Art Center, Cuyahoga Valley Art Center, and Artist Archives of the Western Reserve. She also works as a volunteer at the non-profit Peninsula Art Academy.

Mickey is a self-taught “old-school” printmaker who creates hand-carved, hand-pulled, and hand-colored Linoleum prints, illustrations and home goods in a modern Arts & Crafts style. Her Linoleum-carved block prints are hand-pulled on archival paper and hand-colored with Gouache or markers in vibrant colors making each print a unique work of art.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT- KEN LONG

NEW TO OUR SHOW THIS YEAR!

Ken Long is a digital artist who creates fine art images by altering photographs using computer software. He has displayed and sold his work at BAYarts, Rocky River Fall Arts Festival, and Rocky River Nature Center, among other places. His digital art received first place awards at the 2023 and 2024 Westshore Arts Council’s Annual Juried Art Show.
