Monday evening was a monumental night for the Rocky River Fire Department!

Captain Wallenhorst and Lieutenant Angeloff were ceremonially sworn in to their new positions in front of City Council!

Our 5 newest firefighters were also sworn in, marking the first time that our manpower has increased since the 1960s! Congratulations to Cody Wright, Brandon Finamore, Jayme Strauss, Dejonte Lawrence, and Austin Steindl on becoming the newest firefighters in the Rocky River Fire Department!

Thanks to Mayor Bobst, Safety-Service Director Snyder, Chief Lenart, and City Council for committing to this increase in staffing, which will help the us better serve the citizens of Rocky River!

Our thoughts are with the East Cleveland and North Randall Fire Departments as they mourn the loss of one of their own.
