Drew Zubin, Lutheran West Class of 2006, will take over the role of Director of the Lutheran Scholarship Granting Organization of Ohio.

The Director role becomes available following current Director Josh Malave ‘08’s move into the role of Lutheran West Athletic Director later this spring.

Drew comes to the LSGO of Ohio from a game-day operations role with The Cleveland Browns, and has a background that includes sales, marketing, and event management.

Drew’s outgoing personality, along with his background in client relations, sales, and complex processes, makes him an excellent fit for this vital role,” says CLHSA Superintendent & CEO Chris Steinmann ’00. “As the LSGO of Ohio continues to grow—both in raising scholarship funds for Lutheran East and Lutheran West and in managing operations of the SGO for over 30 Lutheran schools across the state of Ohio—this position becomes even more critical. All participating schools are truly blessed to have Drew helping more families access Christ-centered education.”

Things You Can Do Right Now….. to make the most of Ohio's SGO tax credit on next year's taxes:

1. Look at your tax return and find the form titled "2024 Ohio IT 1040." Find Line 8c. Now you know your Ohio state income tax liability before credits (such as the tax credit you'd qualify for with a donation to the LSGO of Ohio). If you don't anticipate your income or circumstances changing much in the next year, this is a good estimate of your tax liability for next year.

2. Ask your tax preparer this simple question: "Would contributing to an SGO (Scholarship Granting Organization) have a tax benefit for me, and how much should I donate?"

3. Make your donation to the LSGO of Ohio right now to qualify for a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on next year's state tax return, OR begin contributing on a monthly basis to the LSGO of Ohio so that by the time you file your 2025 tax returns, you've accumulated a total donation amount that maximizes your tax benefit.
