We’re very excited to have Rob Speiden joint our outstanding guest instructor team for this year’s Midwest Tracking Intensive starting in September. Rob is an active member of the search and rescue (SAR) community and he has assisted with well over 570 searches since 1993. As a member of the Blacksburg VA Rescue Squad and the Search and Rescue Tracking Institute (SARTI), he responds to searches as a Tracking Specialist, Search Team Leader, and Search Mission Coordinator. Rob is currently involved in graduate school to assist his research advancing the sciences of SAR tracking. Tracking 4-leggeds as much as 2-leggeds, Rob is also a Cybertracker Senior Tracker and Trailing Evaluator. He will join the Midwest Tracking Intensive to teach about human tracking concepts as well as trailing in general.

Enrollment opens on February 14th for the 2026-27 Tracking Intensive. Stay tuned!
