Camp P82 is a non-profit 501c3 Christian Missions Ministry designed and dedicated to providing children and youth who come from difficult circumstances an opportunity first, to hear about the life changing message of Jesus Christ, and secondly, an opportunity to attend an overnight camp. We want to give these students a camping experience they may not otherwise have the opportunity to receive due
to various reasons. Thus, students attend camp free and are supported by scholarships of others who desire to support a camper for a week. Campers are taken out of their current situation and placed in a structured environment that uses various means (sports, camping, outdoor recreation, etc... ) in order to instill principles of virtue and character. The most important virtue taught is the reality and truth of Christ. Camp P82 believes that Jesus Christ is the only One who can truly transform a person's life from the inside out . Without Christ as the starting block, all other efforts are in vain. For this reason, Camp P82 strongly emphasizes evangelism, scripture memorization and bible study as primary elements of the camp. Camps are run by the camp directors with the help of volunteer assistance each week. Counselors, Cooks, Camp Nurses, Maintenance Workers, Secretaries, etc.. Proper training is required and given for each volunteer. Many of our campers come from homes where one or more parents are currently in prison. Others come from similar environmental circumstances.
