The Golden East Railroad Modelers is a membership of people interested in modeling a freelance layout with various styles, techniques and time periods. In our world, you'll likely see steam locomotives and modern diesels working side by side. Many of our members run locomotives with sound so you will hear the sounds of period motive power. In addition to three diesel shops we also created a scene for servicing the steam locomotives complete with roundhouse, backshop and turntable.
