“The Stay Safe Program” offers practical safety tips for individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and caregivers. Topics include interacting with first responders, fire safety, online safety, and wandering prevention.

We’re excited to share this upcoming Light the Night Trunk-or-Treat & Fall Festival, hosted by Englewood United Methodist Church in partnership with St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, October 25! We’re grateful to be part of Englewood UMC and happy to share this fun event with our families!

Our Light the Night Trunk-or-Treat and Fall Festival is coming up!! 🍂🕯️🎃✝️ We’re teaming up with our good friends from St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church to make this our most special fall event ever!

Come and enjoy games, hay rides, crafts, story time, a prayer station, face painting, a hotdog supper, and treats! We’re blocking off the street so everyone can enjoy the fun safely.

EUMC folks, we’d love to have your help! You can decorate or trunk to hand out candy or assist with a station. It’s going to be a great time!

We’re happy to share this upcoming Fall Festival hosted by Aces for Autism NC Child Development Center!

Mark your calendars, because fall fun is officially on the schedule.

The Aces for Autism Fall Festival is happening Friday, October 23, and you do NOT want to miss it. We’re talking trunk or treat, rides, a bounce house, a photo booth, temporary tattoos, food, and so much more.

Aces for Autism families, your VIP early access runs from 4pm to 6pm. Then from 6pm to 9pm, we’re opening the gates to the public, so bring the whole crew, throw on those costumes, and come celebrate the season with our community.

It’s a welcoming, family-friendly night where every kid gets to enjoy the fun at their own pace.

💙 Social Skills Group for Children Ages 3–6! 💚

Kidz N Motion is offering a Social Skills Group designed for children ages 3–6 with developmental delays.

📅 Mondays beginning October 12
🕕 6:00–7:30 PM

Through fun and structured activities, children will have opportunities to build physical and social skills in a safe, supportive environment. The group is volunteer-led, with the goal of helping each child work toward their developmental goals.

The North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCCDD) is hosting a free three-part webinar series, Introduction to Autism: Diagnosis, Interventions, and Support in North Carolina.

This online series is designed for families, healthcare professionals, advocates, state leaders, and anyone interested in learning more about autism. Presenters will include clinicians, researchers, professionals, self-advocates, families, and other experts who will share information and perspectives on autism diagnosis, available interventions, support services, and lived experiences.

Topics will include obtaining an autism diagnosis and what to do next, as well as an introduction to different intervention and support models, including TEACCH, The PLAY Project, DIR/Floortime, the Early Start Denver Model, ABA, and others.
