Our community wouldn’t be the amazing place it is without hardworking people who care, serve, sacrifice, and strive every day to make a difference.

While we certainly have mixed feelings about the next named storm of the 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season being named “Dolly”, perhaps we help a neighbor, a friend, or a loved one get prepared at home. Maybe we buy a few items for someone’s disaster kit. Maybe we just provide encouragement and support. She sure did.

Tuesday Night Training

Rural Water Supply Drill... Our drill simulated the first due engine company establishing an initial water supply with a clappered siamese for tanker operations in areas of our district where there are no hydrants.

We enjoyed the afternoon with our fire family at a Wilson Warbirds game! Enjoyed the fellowship, some great food and baseball fun! To top it off the Warbirds won 9-6!!!!! We sure missed the ones who weren't able to be with us today!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of George Colbert. George served as a medic for Nash County EMS as well as a volunteer firefighter at several Nash County departments for years! George will be missed, we are thankful for his service to our country and our County.

Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of Dale Griffin, Nash County EMS Director. We also keep his EMS family in our hearts as they grieve this tremendous loss.

Saturday Training at West Mount! We had 11 volunteers Saturday morning for training. Topic was truck and equipment familiarzation such as saws, fans, light towers, etc. This training allowed new members to be introduced to equipment carried on our rigs, its function and location as well as current driver/operators hands on time with the trucks and equipment.
