The Franklin County Rescue Squad is a volunteer run agency located in Rocky Mount, Virginia. The squad provides emergency medical and motor vehicle crash rescue services to the Town of Rocky Mount and surrounding areas of Franklin County. At least one ambulance is staffed every night and weekend, 365 days a year, with daytime coverage supplemented by career staff from Franklin County Public Safety

For the month of a June, we'd like to recognize Kylee Pendleton. Kylee is an EMT and an asset to our squad.


Kylee joined the squad May of 2025. Kylee says she joined the squad to help further her knowledge in the medical field to help with her future career. She also joined to be more involved in her community. Kylee would like to tell the community that volunteering helps develop compassion not only while on calls but through every aspect of life.
Thank you Kylee for not only your commitment to FCRS but the citizens of Franklin County.

Can yall believe it's a new month already? This month we're going to recognize 2 of our members who just recently completed an EMT class and are working diligently to get their checkoffs done to be AIC in the back of the ambulance. Please help me congratulate Kameron Kitts and Abby Deering!!

Abby is a Senior at FCHS and will be attending UVA in the fall to pursue a degree in Biology.
Kam is the current Aquatic Director at Franklin County YMCA.
We're so proud of both of these members and the dedication they are showing not only to FCRS but the citizens of Franklin County.
