Kayaking Smith Mountain Lake for Kid’s Sake
Sue Gallagher and Jane Marvin are Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children at Southern Virginia Child Advocacy Center. Sue kayaked the lake in 2018 and raised $46,000 to help this organization. Together Jane and Sue are going to kayak the 500 mile shoreline of the lake again beginning June 27, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. The pandemic has increased the risk for abuse and neglect since children are isolated at home. In addition we have seen a decrease in much=needed funds. Please help us keep these kids safe by donating. New volunteer CASAs are always welcome.
