🎉🎓 Congratulations to Our Latest Cohort! 🎓🎉

Last Thursday evening we gathered for an incredible night filled with great food 🍽️, laughter 😂, joy ❤️, and the gift of simply enjoying one another’s company. It was a beautiful time celebrating the hard work, commitment, and perseverance this amazing cohort has demonstrated over the past 12 months. 👏🏾✨

Each participant has invested countless hours learning, growing, and preparing for the future—and we could not be more proud of what they have accomplished. 💪🏾📚🏡

This cohort was especially meaningful because it was led by Lauren Swinson, one of our very own program graduates who has now come full circle to teach, mentor, and guide a new cohort through the same 12-month journey she once completed herself. 🙌🏾🎓➡️👩🏾‍🏫 Watching participants grow into leaders who pour back into others is one of the most beautiful things about this community. ❤️

But the most beautiful part of this celebration is that graduation is not the finish line—it’s the starting line. 🚀

Our participants leave this program equipped with knowledge, tools, and confidence to continue flourishing in their lives and communities. 🌱🏠 And even more importantly, they remain connected to a community that is committed to walking with them, cheering them on, and supporting their continued growth. 🤝🏾💛

🏠✨ The Homes of Shalom campaign wasn’t just about filling homes—it was about restoring dignity, hope, and neighborhoods.

🤝⛪🏢🏡 With contributions from churches, businesses, households, adults, and children, we raised over $10,000 💛 and filled hundreds of Homes of Shalom, helping families flourish 🌱 and transforming spaces once marked by blight into places of beauty and belonging 🌼🏘️

It’s a new year, and we’re building—little by little 🧱✨

While we haven’t posted since Christmas, A LOT of good work has been happening behind the scenes!

On MLK Day, we were grateful to welcome the Men’s Soccer Team from Wesleyan University ⚽🙌, who helped finish landscaping at our most recently completed housing project 🌱🏠 (more on that coming soon!).

Our program participants also gathered for the first workshop of the new year 📚💡—starting 2026 with focus, growth, and momentum.

And our affordable rental partnership with Self-Help continues to move forward 🤝🏘️—we’re excited about what’s taking shape!

Step by step, we’re building something meaningful—for people, families, and our community ❤️✨
