We couldn’t do everything, so we did something. 🤍

What started as a candle business grew into honey, seed books, gardening education, and a mission to fight food insecurity. We may not change the whole world, but if we can change someone’s world, that’s enough for us. 🌱🕯️🍯

The tire garden is bringing up conversations we don’t talk about enough. 🌱

Not everyone has access to backyards, raised beds, or food-grade grow bags. I want people facing food insecurity to feel empowered to take the first step toward growing their own food with what they have.

Maybe the question isn’t, “Would you grow food this way?” Maybe it’s, “What would you do if this was all you had?” 👀

The best classroom doesn’t have four walls. 🌱💚

We’re so excited to partner with Ripple Effects and their youth summer camp to give kids from our community hands-on experiences they’ll never forget. This week, they explored the garden through a scavenger hunt and planted seeds in their vegetable garden. Throughout the summer, they’ll harvest from the garden, learn about hydroponics, explore the beehives, and so much more.

We’re planting more than seeds—we’re planting lifelong lessons. 🌻🐝

A lot of people have been asking if it’s actually safe to grow food in tires, so we wanted to show the extra precautions we took to create a safe growing environment.

We’re so grateful we had the opportunity to travel to Kenya with our nonprofit partner, Ripple Effects, and experience Charis Farm. 🌱

One thing I learned on that trip is that growing food is about creativity and resourcefulness, not perfection!♻️

So we took what we had access to and started building something meaningful right here in Rocky Mount.
