Be Light

You never know the difference you’re making. 🥹🤍

One of my favorite moments from this summer was receiving these sweet handwritten cards from the kids sharing what they learned and how much fun they had in our garden. Moments like these mean so much to me!

A huge thank you to for allowing Be Light Gardens to be part of your summer camp and pour into the next generation. 🌱

We love empowering the next generation! 🌱🤍

Thank you to Ripple Effects for allowing us to pour into the youth in our community through your summer camp! From planting seeds to harvesting fresh food, it was such a joy showing these young minds what’s possible when they grow their own food.

A special thank you to the Rocky Mount Telegram for continuing to share our story and highlight the work we’re doing through Be Light Gardens to help fight food insecurity! 🌟

The resourceful and imaginative world of Myia Spivey might have started with tires, but things are getting a whole lot sweeter.

Okay, so maybe the plants in our brick beds aren’t dead yet 😂 but they’ve definitely slowed down compared to our tire garden!

I know the tire garden gets mixed reactions but after seeing how much food we’ve grown and how long these plants have continued producing, this year has shown me just how amazing this little garden can be. 🌱

We’re still harvesting, and now we’re getting ready to see what it can do for fall! 🍂😎

How is your garden doing?

We’ve always believed a business can be about more than what it sells. 🤍

Every Be Light candle is made with purpose. Through our nonprofit partner, a portion of our profits helps support food security initiatives and the communities we serve.

So when you light Be Light, you’re supporting something bigger. 🕯️

Feel good. Do good. Be Light.

Some of my favorite moments from this summer were the simple ones. Just being in the garden with the kids, answering questions, laughing, and learning together. 🌱

Knowing how to grow your own food is a life skill, especially when 1 in 5 children in North Carolina face food insecurity. This is knowledge they can carry for life!

So thankful for our nonprofit partner for helping us pour into the next generation. 🤍

Lord knows this has been quite the journey! 🥹 Building this business has come with so many ups and downs over the years, but I stayed consistent and never gave up. Now doors are beginning to open for Be Light in ways I once prayed for. 🤍

And a little reminder… you can now find Be Light Gardens Honey on Publix shelves across Eastern North Carolina! 🐝 If you spot us in your local store, tag us!

Clearly I was way too excited about these sweet potatoes 😂🍠 But seriously, who knew growing your own food could make you this happy?!

There’s just something about pulling food out of the ground that YOU grew yourself. 🥹🌱

Now I need to know… what should I try growing next? 👀
