We’re so grateful we had the opportunity to travel to Kenya with our nonprofit partner, Ripple Effects, and experience Charis Farm. 🌱

One thing I learned on that trip is that growing food is about creativity and resourcefulness, not perfection!♻️

So we took what we had access to and started building something meaningful right here in Rocky Mount.

We’ve got some sweet news! 🍯✈️

Our Be Light Gardens honey is now available at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport inside Root & Branch! This is a huge milestone for the Be Light brand as our honey officially enters the retail space alongside our candles.

What started as a family-owned candle business has grown into honey, seed books, and a mission centered around food access and healthier communities. 🌱

If you’re traveling through RDU, stop by Root & Branch in Terminal 2 and check us out before your flight!

Last year we grew so many peppers indoors using our hydroponic system. 🌱 This year, we’re restarting with Buttercrunch lettuce so we can continue growing fresh food indoors year-round.
