🚨*******Important Notice*******🚨

After speaking with City Officials and members of the community, we have decided to suspend the monthly clean up events until further notice. Earlier this year the City Council voted 7-0 in the spirit of Unity to purchase the property and develop a long term perpetual care plan. One of our goals when we decided to do the events, was to encourage the involvement of our local government. We achieved this goal. This was the largest cleanup effort associated with the cemetery in it's history, which dates back to 1901. Over 400 volunteers from all over the State and country participated in the effort. We are extremely thankful for their efforts.

We would like to personally thank the individuals who played an intricate role in the project. Thank you to head organizer and event coordinator, Tarrick Pittman. Thank you to Sam Battle for the inspiration. A big thank you to Steve & Tracey Pridgen for all of their efforts and hard work. A big thank you to Steve Cederberg for all of his research and coordination efforts. We would also like to thank General Gordon Bray for all of his support and guidance. Thank you also to Angela Wiseman Hight for all of her support. Thank you Bruce Berry for your guidance. We will now take a step back and hopefully watch the city take a step forward and create a comprehensive plan towards the completion of this project. Thank you

We are doing this one in honor of the Mothers who are enshrined at the cemetery. If you have a mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, or you know of a Mother enshrined at Unity, don't forget to place a flower on their final resting place in honor of Mother's Day. Bring those w**d eaters out!

Good afternoon. I wanted to remind everyone that the 3rd Unity Cemetery Cleanup is this Saturday April 10, 2021. A community prayer will start at 8:30 a.m. and the cleanup starts at 9 a.m. You are welcome to come out at any time during the cleanup and jump in. Please remember to stop by the volunteer sign in station.

Good morning everyone. We are starting to pull together our next Unity Cemetery Cleanup Event.
When: Saturday March 13, 2021
Time: Community Prayer 8:30 a.m.
Cleanup starts at 9:00a.m. until 3 p.m.
250 people came out for the last cleanup. We would love to double that number. Please see the attached flyers below for important information you may need. Reach out for any additional questions you may have.
