πŸ’™ Holding the Goodbye: A Support Space for Foster Parent Reunification Grief

Reunification is an important goal in foster care, but that doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier. Foster parents often experience a unique form of grief that can feel unseen or difficult to talk about.

CAFAF is partnering with Silent Waters Therapeutic Services LLC to offer a safe, supportive space for foster parents to reflect, connect, and process the emotions that can come with reunification.

Thursday, June 25, 2026
6:00–7:30 PM
CAFAF Main Office – Rocky Hill, CT

Facilitated by Joseph Montalvo of Silent Waters Therapeutic Services LLC, this small in-person group will provide an opportunity to:
✨ Reflect on your experience
✨ Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable
✨ Connect with other foster parents who understand
✨ Find language and meaning for feelings that can often feel like silent grief

This event is intended to offer support, understanding, and community for those navigating the emotional side of foster parenting.

πŸŽ“πŸ’™ Congratulations to All Foster Youth Graduates! πŸ’™πŸŽ“

Today, we celebrate every foster youth who has reached the incredible milestone of graduation. Whether you're graduating from high school, college, a trade school, or a certification program, this achievement is something to be proud of.

Your journey may have included challenges that many people will never fully understand. Yet through every obstacle, every transition, and every uncertainty, you continued to move forward. Your strength, resilience, determination, and hard work have brought you to this moment.

As you turn the page to a new chapter, remember that your past does not define your future. You are capable, worthy, and filled with endless potential. The world is better because of the unique gifts and talents you bring to it.

From all of us at Let's Refoster Care, we are incredibly proud of you. Keep dreaming big, keep believing in yourself, and never forget how far you've come.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ“πŸ’™
