We have become an exciting and fun ﬁlled youth organization that works to instill reverence and respect for the outdoors with a strong focus on Fun with a Purpose! A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. A Scout's duty is to be useful and help others. A Scout is a friend to all, and a brother/sister to every other

Scout, no matter their country, class, or creed. We welcome Scouts from all over Rockwall County and primarily recruit from Stevenson, Hamm, Hays and Dobbs Elementary!

What to Bring

It will be warm, and the youth will do some running and pushing. Please ensure you bring the following:

For Each Youth:

Bicycle helmet (Required to race, but we will have some helmets to share!)
Closed-toe shoes
Sun protection & bug spray
Filled water bottle

For Parents & Guests:

Camp chair
Sun protection & bug spray
Filled water bottle
Note: All boys and girls entering grades K - 5 are welcome! All youth must bring a parent or guardian (Scouting require those entering K - 1st grade to have a parent partner in attendance).

🚀🌙 Pack 896 Goes to NASA!

What an amazing adventure! Our Scouts and families had the opportunity to spend the night at Space Center Houston, exploring exhibits, learning about space exploration, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

A big thank you to our leaders and families who made this trip possible. Experiences like these are what Cub Scouting is all about—adventure, learning, and fun!

Summer is in full swing, and it is time for our Summer Picnic and Splashpad Recruitment Event! Join us on Saturday, July 11th, for a day of games, food, and water fun.

This is a recruitment event, so invite a friend who is interested in learning more about joining Cub Scouts!

🎉 Congratulations to all of our Cub Scouts Pack 896 Scouts on an incredible year! 🎉

We are so proud to celebrate our scouts as they advance to their next adventures — welcome to our new Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos, and Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts! 🐯🐺🐻⚜️🏹

This year was filled with growth, learning, leadership, service, outdoor adventures, and unforgettable memories. Our scouts worked hard, challenged themselves, learned new skills, and truly embodied what it means to be a Scout.

A very special thank you to our incredible leaders and volunteers for their dedication, time, and hard work throughout the year. Your commitment, encouragement, and passion help make these experiences possible and have a lasting impact on our scouts and families. Pack 896 would not be the same without you!
