Scam tip of the day. Scammers are contacting victims by text and email in reference to a fraudulent purchase usually through PayPal. Scammers provide a phone number requesting the victim to call to report the fraudulent transaction. Phone number provided goes straight to the scammer who request the victim to put cash or gold bars into a box/envelope to have a courier pick up directly from the victim’s residence. Anytime you are told to give anything to a courier, this is a scam. Scammer also like to use the WhatsApp phone/texting to communicate with the victim and sometimes request the victim to download the WhatsApp themselves. Please be cautious.

ROCKWALL, TX: On November 3rd, 2025, this unknown gentleman entered the Rally House and tried to pay for an item using a counterfeit $100 bill. When the cashier at the location refused the bill, the suspect then proceeded around the counter and forcibly pushed another cashier who stepped in between the two to intervene. The suspect then left the location on foot towards the service road. An unknown male and female entered shortly after the victim left the lobby. The male suspect then proceeded to conceal the tablet in a bag handed to him by the unknown female he was with. Fraud tip of the day, fraudsters are calling credit card customers telling them that the account has been compromised. Fraudsters requests victims cut up their cards and place the pieces in an envelope and then place the envelope into their mailbox so it can be picked up by a courier. Fraudsters tell the victim they are requesting the card pieces so they can run a diagnostic report on the card in attempt to locate where the fraud originated. If your credit or debit card has been compromised, cut up the card but do not put the pieces in an envelope to be picked up by the fraudster.
