Thanks to the vision and leadership of former First Lady Laura Bush, there is now a Rainbow Room in every Texas county — including right here in Rockwall.

Established in 1999, the Rainbow Room of Rockwall County exists to ensure that children who have been abused or neglected — and are receiving the care of Child Protective Services — have what they need for both their physical and emotional well-being.

We are a 100% volunteer-driven organization with no paid staff or building costs, which means that 98% of every dollar donated goes directly to helping children in crisis right here in our community.

Did you know? The Rainbow Room of Rockwall County was established in 1999, inspired by the Rainbow Room concept championed by First Lady of Texas, Laura Bush. Today, there is a Rainbow Room in every county across the state.

Our mission is simple yet vital: to ensure that every Rockwall County child who has experienced abuse or neglect and requires CPS intervention is supported with their immediate, ongoing, and essential physical and emotional needs.

We are a working board of volunteers—no paid staff, no building expenses, and very little overhead. That means 98% of every dollar donated goes directly to the children we serve.

Together, we can make sure no child in Rockwall County is forgotten. 💙

Because of your generosity and support, we were able to make a huge impact for local children in need this back-to-school season:

✅ 94 children (ages 0–18) received fall clothing gift cards
✅ 69 children received fully stocked backpacks with school supplies

Over the past 5 weeks, 16 incredible volunteers joined us each Wednesday to assemble backpacks filled with school supplies for children in need. Thanks to your dedication, we were able to complete 69 fully stocked backpacks—each one a gift of confidence, hope, and support for the upcoming school year.

We are so grateful for the time, energy, and love you poured into this project. Because of you, students across Rockwall County will start the year ready to learn and thrive! 💙
