The McLendon-Chisholm Fire Department is in need of bottled water donations.

With the heat picking up, our firefighters are out there working long hours in heavy gear, and staying hydrated is critical. If you are able to help, please bring a case (or two) to our Smoke Sessions meet up later this month and we will make sure it gets delivered.

Attention Rockwall County Jeep Club Family

We have two families here in Rockwall County who are in need of our community’s help. Both families recently lost everything they owned when their homes were destroyed by fire. They are now in need of essential items to help them get back on their feet.

OHV Sticker
Some off-road parks in Texas require an OHV sticker to be displayed on your vehicle while in the park. If you don’t already have one, you can purchase it at the park during registration.

Newcomers
If you’re new to off-roading, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered. We’ll have beginner-friendly trails lined up specifically for newcomers, along with experienced members to help guide you along the way. If anyone would like to meet up before the trip to make sure they’re ready, comment below or reach out to me directly. At the very least, be sure to check out the write-up we did for Off-Roading 101.

Radios are recommended for trail communication. GMRS radios work great and help keep everyone informed on the trail.

McClendon Chisholm Fire Department will be taking donations through tomorrow at 12:00 PM. The donation list has been changing so please follow for up-to-date information. Wednesday morning these donations will be heading down south to the Texas Hill country to provide support for those in need.

***** UPDATE: Donation collection will end Tuesday, July 8th at Noon.
