⭐️ This week, 300 Dragonfly Keychain kits were mailed to and received by a facility in Tyler. A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who helped create these one-of-a-kind keychains. These kits are provided to facilities free of charge through the mission of Dragonfly Wings and the generosity of donations. ⭐️

Dragonfly Keychain Project -
Dragonfly Wings partners with both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse facilities to help clients practice selflessness, gratitude, and encouragement—small but meaningful habits that can support long-term recovery. Through a simple, guided service activity, clients create something for someone who has helped them on their journey, while also
receiving encouragement themselves.
Clients receive project kits designed to encourage selflessness. Each kit includes:
- One keychain handmade by a volunteer, along with a card of encouragement for the client
- Supplies and instructions for the client to create a keychain for someone who has helped them on their journey

These kits create a ripple e ect of compassion—clients are reminded they are supported, and then have an opportunity to pass that support forward to another person.

Earlier this month, Dragonfly Wings donated supplies to Lone Star CASA.

Lone Star CASA elevates the voices of children in Kaufman and Rockwall County, who have experienced abuse and neglect by providing trained volunteer advocates to work alongside children and families, so they can achieve safety and stability to fulfill their potential. https://lonestarcasa.org/

A special thank you to Chloe Smith, a Rockwall County Girl Scout, who created finger puppet kits as part of her Gold Award project. Dragonfly Wings is spreading their vision to cultivate a world where compassion thrives, encouraging individuals to uplift those around them while recognizing their own inherent worth.

Our volunteers created more than 70 gift bags, which we donated to The Family Place in Dallas to distribute to their clients as Mother’s Day gifts. Thank you to the volunteers who donated time, care, and creativity to make these gift bags possible—your generosity helped make Mother’s Day a little brighter for families in our community.

The Family Place, founded in 1978, delivers emergency shelter, counseling, legal support and long-term services to survivors of family violence—supporting individuals and families wherever the need arises. https://familyplace.org/

As 2025 comes to a close, here are Dragonfly Wings’ key achievements, thanks to our volunteers and community:

• 75 Santa ornaments made for a nursing center
• 150 snack bags donated to The Stewpot in Dallas; 200 to Body & Soul
• 200 backpacks with essentials, resource phone numbers, books, and winter items for unsheltered neighbors at Body & Soul
• 200 essential bags and cleaning supplies given to Texans on Mission for Texas Hill County Floods
• 500 origami puppets crafted for children’s kits by Rockwall High School National Honor Society, Williams Middle School National Junior Honor Society and volunteers in our community.
• 817 books collected through our drive

Through our collaboration with The Rosewood Corporation, we were selected as a nonprofit recipient of their employee Summer Charity fundraiser, yielding a significant community impact.

We worked closely with the Body & Soul homeless program in Dallas to assess their needs. Rosewood employees either purchased items from an Amazon link we set up or made donations to buy additional supplies. One afternoon, we hosted a service project where employees packed bags for the homeless.

Body & Soul received 200 backpacks containing essentials, resource phone numbers, books, and winter necessities for their unhoused neighbors, along with new sleeping bags for distribution.

We appreciate Rosewood's generosity and hard work to help Body & Soul build bridges and restore lives.

We are delighted to announce the completion of our book drive, which was made possible by the support of Rockwall County Girl Scouts and Rosewood Court!

Dragonfly Wings made a donation of 75 Santa ornaments to the Rockwall Nursing Care Center this past Wednesday.

We would like to express our appreciation to Lori and Lannie, our outstanding volunteers, for leading this initiative. Lori created the card images by hand, and Lannie used her graphics skills to turn them into cards. This craft, which Lannie initially created for her children's school over 30 years ago, has been revitalized.

Dragonfly Wings donated 100 snack bags to The Stewpot in Dallas (thestewpot.org). Beverly Ayers (pictured), Volunteer Coordinator for The Stewpot received our donation. Their mission is to love and serve their neighbors so they can overcome homelessness and poverty.

Thank you Lori Feste (pictured) for facilitating the donation, Rosewood Corporation employees purchased the supplies from our Amazon list ( https://a.co/dfEcK2W ). Then as a team service project they packed the snack bags and included cards to provide help resources phone numbers.
