People often ask us why MGY spend months preparing Taiwanese Heritage Day at Nationals Park. The answer is simple: we do it so our community can feel at home — seen, heard, and recognized.
When we started three years ago, we were just testing the waters, hoping to build a small bridge between Taiwan and the local community. Today, entering our third year, seeing this tradition grow into one of the most anticipated annual gatherings at the ballpark means everything to us. It gives us the chance to share what makes Taiwan special — our culture, our love for baseball, and the democratic values we cherish — with thousands of fans who may be experiencing Taiwan for the very first time.
Our journey hasn’t been limited to MLB either.
Two years ago, we also began bringing Taiwanese Heritage Night to the NBA with the Washington Wizards. Seeing Taiwan represented in both MLB and NBA — two of America’s biggest sports stages — reminds us how far our community has come. It shows that when we stand together, Taiwan’s stories, pride, and culture can shine anywhere.
None of this happens without you.
To every fan who showed up, every volunteer who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and every sponsor who believed in us — thank you. Your support, your energy, and your passion are the reason these events continue to grow year after year.

很多人常問我們，為什麼 MGY 長期投入大量心力在國民隊球場舉辦「臺灣日」。其實原因很單純：我們希望海外的台美人、以及所有支持台灣的朋友，都能在這裡找到家的感覺——被看見、被聽見、被肯定。
三年前我們第一次嘗試舉辦時，只是希望能替台灣文化和在地社群搭起一座小小的橋樑。沒想到一路走來，今年已經邁入第三年。看到「臺灣日」逐漸成為大華府地區大家一年一度最期待的球場盛事，我們心中充滿無比的感謝。這個活動讓我們有機會把台灣最美好的部分——文化、對棒球的熱情，以及我們珍視的自由民主價值——分享給成千上萬可能第一次認識台灣的朋友。
而我們的努力，也不只在 MLB。從兩年前開始，我們也在 NBA 巫師隊推動「臺灣之夜」。台灣的身影同時出現在美國兩大職業運動舞台上，代表著我們的文化、故事與驕傲，正在被更多人看見。這是所有人一起努力的成果，也是台灣能在國際舞台上持續發光的證明。
這一切，都因為有你們。
